Everything Iowa drivers love about the Accord has been amplified in 2023, with new interior and exterior styling elements. Follow along with Vern Eide in Sioux City as we explore the newly redesigned Honda Accord.
Honda Accord Engine Configurations
The new Honda Accord is a stylish and efficient commuter, dependable family car and power-hungry sport sedan all wrapped into one. With Honda shifting its focus to more hybrid-based vehicles, drivers can choose between two distinct powertrain configurations for their 2023 Accord – with varying gas mileage, horsepower and torque.
Honda Accord 1.5L Turbo
The standard engine on LX and EX Accord trim levels, the 1.5-liter turbocharger is capable of 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), these Accord models make an impressive 30 mpg city / 38 mpg highway / 33 mpg combined EPA-estimated ratings.
Honda Accord 2.0L Hybrid
This all-new, 4th-generation two-motor hybrid-electric system comes standard on Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring trims. It’s run by a pair of electric motors mounted side-by-side and paired with an all-new 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine adds direct fuel injection. In addition to the combined 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, the Accord hybrid gets and EPA-estimated 44 mpg city / 41 mpg highway on the Sport and Touring models. While the EX-L gets the most, with 48 mpg city / 47 mpg highway.
Honda Accord Technology
All new Accord trims come standard with a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel. Accord hybrid models Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring come standard with Honda’s largest touchscreen, a 12.3-inch unit with a physical volume knob, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and simplified navigational structure. Touring also received Honda’s first integration of Google built-in, which includes apps like Google Assistant, Google Maps and more from Google Play.
Honda Accord Trim Levels
Your 2023 Accord price will differ depending on which trim level you select. While some Accord models focus on styling elements and performance, others will increase the amount of comfort amenities and tech.
