What does it take to be an automotive legend? Car and Driver, one of America’s most well-respected auto experts, has named the Honda Accord to its 10Best list for an unmatched 35th time. That’s a good start. This midsize sedan continues to get recognized year after year for its outstanding performance, style, value, and safety—adding both an IIHS Top Safety Pick + and 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the NHTSA to its collection. Ride along with Vern Eide Honda Sioux City to find out what’s in store for the 2021 model year, including Accord trim levels, colors, powertrains, and more.
The 2021 Honda Accord is a stylish and efficient commuter, dependable family car, and power-hungry sport sedan all wrapped into one. While a 1.5-liter turbo is the standard-equipped engine, drivers can choose between three distinct powertrain configurations with varying horsepower, torque, and mpg figures.
The standard engine on LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L Accord trim levels, the 1.5-liter turbocharger is capable of 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), these Accord models make an impressive 30 mpg city / 38 mpg highway / 33 mpg combined EPA-estimated ratings.*
Available on Sport, EX-L, and Touring Accord trims, the 2.0-liter turbo cranks out 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, and comes standard equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission (10AT).
This two-motor hybrid powertrain is paired with an e-CVT transmission for responsive power and excellent fuel economy ratings. In addition to 212 total system horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque, the Accord Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 48 mpg city / 48 mpg highway / 48 mpg combined.* (Accord Hybrid Touring receives a 44 city/41 highway/43 combined mpg rating.)
Your 2021 Accord price will differ depending on which trim level you select. While some Accord models focus on styling elements and performance, other trims will increase the amount of comfort amenities and technology. Review the features for each Honda Accord trim level and pick the one that best meets your driving needs.
Taking its place between Sport and EX-L trims in the Accord lineup, the all-new Accord Sport Special Edition brings some exclusive styling elements to an already-head-turning sedan. The staff at Vern Eide Honda Sioux City is excited for this new addition and we’d like to introduce it to Iowa drivers. Here’s what you can expect from the 2021 Honda Accord Sport Special Edition:
The 2021 Accord earned a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)* and for good reason. Every Honda Accord trim starts with an Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) Body Structure to limit the impact felt during a car accident. The biggest value point for the 2021 Accord, however, is the Honda Sensing® suite. Even on the base Accord trim level, the following safety features and driver-assist technologies come standard:
If you’re looking for the most bang for your buck, Accord’s base trim LX model provides tremendous value with a long list of standard features. Accord Hybrid is the perfect balance of efficiency and power for the commuter who requires superior fuel economy above all else. If you want a sedan with more horsepower and aggressive styling, the all-new Accord Sport Special Edition trim might be your vehicle. Of course, it all depends on the tech features and amenities you need and the ones you can live without.
