As an industry leader in safety and reliability, Honda continued to innovate when they introduced Honda Sensing. Honda Sensing is a suite of safety features to help drivers stay even safer on the road. Positioning cameras around the vehicle along with a radar system, Honda vehicles are able to alert drivers when they are at risk of a collision and help stay in your lane. Ever changing climate conditions around Sioux City and Omaha can result in treacherous roads, but driving a Honda vehicle is a step closer to the peace of mind drivers should expect when purchasing an automobile. As a trusted Honda dealership near Omaha, Vern Eide Honda Sioux City is proud to sell Honda vehicles like the Civic, Accord, CR-V, Pilot, and more.
The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) applies brake pressure when an unavoidable collision is determined.*
The Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) adjusts steering and braking if you cross detected lanes without signaling.*
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a set following interval behind detected vehicles.*
The Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) adjusts steering to help you keep centered in a detected lane.*
Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) can notify drivers of posted speed limits with the use of a small camera.*
When your turn signal is on and a vehicle is detected in an adjacent lane, the Blind Spot Information System indicator blinks and a beep sounds until the area is clear or the turn signal is off.*
When in reverse with the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera in any viewing mode, the Cross Traffic Monitor will alert drivers to a detected vehicle approaching from the side with a series of beeps and indicators shown on the camera’s display.*
Honda Sensing features are available or standard on most Honda vehicles. Scroll down to view the Honda Sensing lineup.
1 CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.2 Road Departure Mitigation only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use and can apply mild steering torque to assist driver in maintaining proper lane position and/or brake pressure to slow the vehicle’s departure from a detected lane. RDM may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
3 Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather or on winding roads. ACC only includes a limited braking function; driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
4 LKAS only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. LKAS may not detect all lane markings; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
5 TSR cannot detect all traffic signs and may misidentify certain signs. Accuracy will vary based on weather and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for complying with all traffic regulations.
6 Display accuracy will vary based on weather, size of object and speed, and the display may not show all relevant traffic. The display is not a substitute for your own direct visual assessment of traffic conditions before changing lanes. Available on select 2018 and 2019 models. Honda LaneWatchâ„¢ available on Fit, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Si Coupe, Civic Si Sedan, Clarity Fuel Cell, Clarity Electric, Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, HR-V, Pilot and Ridgeline.
7 The system is not a substitute for your own visual assessment before changing lanes. Blind Spot Information System may not detect all objects behind or to the side of a vehicle and may not detect a given object; system accuracy will vary based on weather, size of object, and speed. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions. Blind Spot Information System available on Accord, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline.
8 Always visually confirm that it is safe to drive before backing up, as the Cross Traffic Monitor may not provide complete information about conditions at the rear of your vehicle. Monitor cannot detect all objects behind or to the side of a vehicle and may not detect a given object; system accuracy will vary based on weather, size of object, and speed. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions. Cross Traffic Monitor available on Accord, CR-V, Pilot and Ridgeline.
9 Available on all new models. Auto High-Beam Headlights available on Accord, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline.
